Senior Traffic Claims Handler

Handle traffic claims with a legal and commercial view and approve larger payments in a senior team.

An insurance service organisation in the province of Utrecht is hiring a senior traffic claims handler for 32 to 40 hours a week. You join a team of about ten claims handlers and take the more complex files. You work hybrid.

What you will do:

• Support colleagues with their files and share your knowledge and experience
• Handle claims on substance, weighing legal and commercial interests
• Check and approve claim payments above 5,000 euros
• Communicate with policyholders, financial advisers and insurers, patient and firm where needed
• Contribute to process improvements and join the four-weekly senior meeting

What you bring:

• A bachelor level of working and thinking
• The Wft Basis, Schade particulier and Schade zakelijk diplomas, plus Assurantie A Algemeen and two subject modules
• At least 4 years of experience as a traffic claims handler
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to grasp a file quickly and carefully
• Calm, friendly communication, also when callers are upset
• The motivation to coach colleagues
