Maintenance data and dashboards for the rail network
The maintenance data chain of the national rail manager ran from collection through processing to reporting without a shared view of it. Dashboards clarified how maintenance data is used inside the performance contracts, and brought the asset information and daily operations teams onto the same figures.

Image recognition on rail assets
Locating and checking sleepers, signs and electrical separation welds across the network meant watching inspection video by hand. Deep learning models now recognise those assets automatically, with GPS, odometer readings and GIS maps combined to place each find accurately on the network.

Preventing third party incidents on the rail network
Roughly 200 incident response staff spent their days reacting to people walking dogs along the track, taking shortcuts, and vandalism. A data driven tool was built to move that team from reacting to preventing, deploying them where incidents are most likely to happen.

AI damage inspection on port assets
Inspectors at a major seaport recorded asset damage by hand, photographing and classifying every finding. Cameras mounted on inspection vehicles now film during normal drives, and a machine learning platform detects and grades the damage from the footage.

Long term energy demand prediction
Solar panels, electric cars and heat pumps made household energy use far harder to forecast, while suppliers stay responsible for predicting it. Machine learning predictions were built into the operational planning framework and improved long term forecasts by 10 percent.

Meter reading platform rebuild
A national energy supplier could not keep up with demand for meter data: only 40 percent of readings were available within 24 hours. The platform was moved onto an event based streaming architecture so near real-time readings reach customers and upstream systems.

Progress dashboards for earthquake reinforcement
Reinforcing homes in the Groningen earthquake area runs across many parties and long chains of steps. Dashboards, process analysis and data links now show production, progress and bottlenecks per address and per stage, and the time between process steps has measurably shortened.

Policy dashboards for a municipality
A municipality wanted policy work to run on data and that data to be available more widely inside the organisation. Interactive R Shiny dashboards with GIS integration were built on a modular template in the municipal house style, so new dashboards can follow quickly.

Invoice processing on SAP S/4HANA
A municipality moved its financial administration onto SAP HANA and then S/4HANA, and reworked purchasing and accounts payable around it. Time spent on the invoice process fell by 55 percent.

Digital delivery of municipal financial mail
A municipality wanted to send financial correspondence to residents digitally instead of on paper. Its collection system was connected to the national message box, first in test and then in production, and was live within three months.

Private cloud platform for a university
A university wanted to build and run its own applications and infrastructure independently, with control and automation rather than a managed service. A private cloud was designed and implemented on Red Hat OpenStack, OpenShift and Satellite, with CI/CD, self service and coaching for the internal team.

Reference architecture for higher education
Boards, CIOs, directors and architects from universities and universities of applied sciences worked together on a shared IT strategy and a reference architecture for the sector. The result carries authority across the institutions without being experienced as a straitjacket.

Domain architecture for government data exchange
Exchanging data across the national digital infrastructure had no shared architecture, so every programme solved it again from scratch. Architects from several public bodies worked out one domain architecture and the standards and agreements that follow from it.

Architecture repository in a semantic wiki
An executive agency wanted the products it manages brought under architecture, starting with a description of the current state and the principles pointing to the intended one. In two weeks an architecture framework was set and a semantic wiki was configured to hold it all coherently.

Architecture for provincial electronic services
A province translated its electronic government programme planning into what it means for information provision. The architecture introduces a mid-office with a case management system, and connects to the federated identity architecture behind the national citizen portal.

Customer portal and mobile app for an asset manager
An international asset manager had no customer portal or mobile app of its own. Both were built together with its in-house development team, as the first delivery in the organisation’s digital programme.

AI service portal for a consumer electronics brand
A consumer electronics brand handled the same customer questions over and over again. An AI portal now answers recurring questions automatically, shows live order status, and serves product level FAQs.

Dealer portal and mobile app
Connecting a new dealer used to take a full administrative round. A dealer portal and mobile app now bring one online in about two minutes, and let dealers process documents, mail and orders from their own applications.

Stock allocation for supermarket loyalty programmes
Supermarket savings campaigns run on physical stock, where too much ties up money and too little means empty shelves at the till. A stock allocation web application replaced the spreadsheet that used to forecast this, predicting what is needed, where, and when.

Golf course management system
A course built around flexible tee times, unlimited holes and day membership could not run on standard club software. A management system keeps the day moving for staff and visitors, so play flows without waiting at any point.

Central warehouse and training centre for a grid operator
A national grid operator is developing a 27,000 square metre central warehouse for strategic components and project stock, alongside a 3,600 square metre training centre with a hall for safe high voltage practice. A programme of requirements and a plot study were drawn up in the initiative phase.

Office to housing conversion beside a station
An introverted office block next to a Rotterdam station was converted into a sustainable residential complex, with new facade openings, outdoor space and a more open plinth. A large part of the existing structure was reused, and cost management ran alongside design so the architectural ambition stayed affordable.

Automated cold store of 32,000 square metres
A global cold storage operator built a fully automated freezer complex with a 40 metre high-bay warehouse, a low-bay warehouse with dispatch and pick floor, a three storey office and plant rooms for the process installations. Development started in 2023, piling in 2024, handover in 2025.

Margin and cost transparency for a fuel cooperative
Five independent fuel companies pooled procurement, planning and transport into one shared service centre. The planning data now pins down the cost of delivery per site and per customer, so pricing decisions and margins rest on figures rather than estimates.

Magento 2 migration for a specialist retailer
A trading company selling hand-knotted rugs ran its webshop on Magento 1, a platform the vendor stopped supporting years ago. The shop was migrated to Magento 2 deliberately early, rather than waiting for a security or compatibility failure to force the move.

Rebuild of a property valuation application
An internal application for recording property valuations ran on a long outdated front-end framework and could no longer be extended. It was rebuilt on current technology with a redesigned interface, and now carries valuation records, reporting and control data.

Practice management for a mid-size law firm
A law firm upgrading its document management to a cloud capable version found its existing case system would not follow. Bookkeeping and case management were replaced together, with fully editable entry fields so lawyers can correct their own time and file entries.

Fuel logistics planning across 225 stations
A fuel retailer with 225 stations outsourced its planning and transport. The planning system connects to the tank sensors in the forecourts, so planners read inventory levels directly and schedule deliveries against them, optimising the whole run rather than each station separately.

Case management migration at a large law firm
A large law firm had postponed replacing its financial and case systems for years out of fear of the migration itself. After a change of board the move went ahead, cutting the many steps needed to open a file down to something close to one action.

Websites and cloud migration for a university of applied sciences
A university of applied sciences needed its public sites, English versions and intranet managed, extended and kept running. Seconded developers do that work, and recently moved hosting from internal servers to the cloud, including the many links into shared national course systems.

Vacancy recommender at national scale
A large staffing group wanted personalised job suggestions across millions of candidates and roles. The recommender handles both sides of the match and the timing of the suggestion, and lifted the application rate by 27 percent.

Replacing an inspectorate’s reporting portal
Educational institutions submit figures to a national inspectorate through a customer portal, running on software that had become dated. A mixed team of internal and external specialists is replacing it piece by piece, releasing one part at a time so users keep working through the transition.

National rail operator website platform
The website of the national rail operator is a main sales channel, with online tickets priced below the machines. A mixed team of internal and external developers extended the platform with credit card payment, group tickets and a new discount ticket shop, on Java, SpringBoot, Angular and Azure.

Platform for hereditary disease care
Around 7,000 rare diseases exist worldwide and most are found late, often only after several family members show the same symptoms. A tool that began as a family tree drawer grew into a full genetic and lipid care platform, linked to hospital and laboratory software.

Standardised reporting in elderly care
Care institutions reported the same figures repeatedly to supervisors, inspectorates and insurers, in formats that rarely matched what was asked. A national standard now lets those parties query the systems the institutions already run, so answers come from source data instead of re-entry.
