Underwriter Commercial Insurance

Assess business property and casualty applications at an insurance organisation in Utrecht.

A business insurance organisation in the province of Utrecht needs an underwriter for commercial property and casualty insurance. You decide whether a risk is accepted and you are the contact for intermediaries and insurers. The team is energetic and expert, and a new colleague is paired with an experienced underwriter. Hybrid working is possible.

What you will do:

• Assess applications for business property and casualty insurance and decide on acceptance of the risk.
• Stay in touch with intermediaries and insurers, answer their questions and support them.
• Handle incoming calls and emails quickly, professionally and in a customer-friendly way.
• Process changes and applications accurately in the system.
• Pick up side tasks, such as projects or tests, to develop and specialise.

What you bring:

• Some experience in an administrative or commercial role.
• Experience with business property and casualty insurance.
• The Wft Basis and Wft Schade certificates.
• Preferably the Assurantie A diploma plus one extra specialist course, or the willingness to complete these quickly.
• A customer-focused, precise and proactive way of working.
• A forward-looking attitude, with an eye for opportunities and a sense of responsibility.
