Motor Claims Handler

Handle motor and traffic damage claims for private clients, hybrid in the province of Utrecht.

An insurance group in the province of Utrecht is hiring a claims handler for traffic damage. You decide whether compensation is due and keep clients, advisers and repairers informed.

What you will do:

• Assess traffic damage claims and decide whether the insured is entitled to compensation
• Handle claims professionally, balancing the interests of the customer and the company
• Answer questions from insured parties, advisers, repairers, experts and other insurers
• Manage your own agenda and set priorities across your files
• Take turns on phone duty with colleagues
• Grow towards complex cases, with experienced colleagues supporting you

What you bring:

• Vocational or bachelor level (mbo or hbo) working and thinking level, with some insurance experience
• Willingness to obtain, or already holding, the Dutch insurance diplomas Wft Basis, Schade particulier, Schade zakelijk and Assurantie A
• Comfort on the phone, friendly and empathetic
• The ability to reconstruct a traffic situation from a file and apply traffic rules
• Pleasure in administrative work and good overview
