Product Manager

Product manager for accounting software aimed at freelancers and bookkeepers, in a small product team.

A fintech SaaS scale-up in Utrecht builds software that tens of thousands of entrepreneurs use for their bookkeeping. The product team is small: a UX designer and a Head of Product, who you report to. Together you work with seven engineers. The team is growing to three or four colleagues.

What you will do:

• Research what users really need, using signals from Support, Marketing and Sales, product data and conversations with accounting firms.
• Write complete functional specifications, including edge cases and a clear scope.
• Shape the visual designs together with the UX designer.
• Act as the point of contact for engineers during the build and review deliveries yourself.
• Launch together with Marketing and Support and measure the effect.
• Follow the competition and new legislation.

What you bring:

• Academic level of thinking and working.
• At least 2 years of experience writing functional specifications, as a product manager, functional designer or business analyst in SaaS.
• Strong problem analysis and writing skills.
• Knowledge of the bookkeeping domain or a developer background is a plus.
