Deputy Research Manager Radar

Co-lead a radar expertise group at a research organisation in Zuid-Holland.

A research organisation in Zuid-Holland needs a deputy research manager for its radar expertise group. You co-lead with the research manager, as sparring partner and as deputy. The work is on site, and some work from home is possible.

What you will do:

• Co-lead the radar expertise group with the research manager, who sets the overall direction.
• Be strategic sparring partner and stand in for the research manager.
• Support staff development, recruitment and selection, and onboarding.
• Shape the group's strategy and project portfolio, balancing market trends and customer needs.
• Work with other departments and monitor projects, their results and the facilities.
• Keep the workplace stable and pleasant while the team grows.

What you bring:

• A relevant university degree.
• People-oriented management experience in a high-tech research setting, including leading knowledge professionals.
• Good command of Dutch and English.
• Experience with defence projects and a security screening are a plus. If you lack the screening, it is requested for you.
