Data Platform Engineer

An international IT consultancy in Utrecht is hiring a Data Platform Engineer to build Azure and Snowflake data platforms for its clients.

An international IT consultancy in Utrecht is hiring a Data Platform Engineer. As a consultant you build modern data platforms for reporting, analytics and AI at client sites, working alongside data scientists, AI engineers and architects.

What you will do:

• Design, build and run scalable data platforms, from source to end product
• Integrate and transform data from many sources
• Set up data warehouse and lakehouse architectures with Kimball and Data Vault
• Build datasets for dashboards, machine learning and AI
• Work with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory and Snowflake
• Advise clients on architecture, integrations and technical choices

What you bring:

• At least four years of experience as a Data Platform Engineer
• Strong SQL and Python, hands-on with ETL, ELT and data pipelines
• Knowledge of Azure data services and data modelling
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps; Infrastructure as Code is a plus
• You explain technical choices clearly, in excellent Dutch
