Financial Controller

Our client, a mid-sized industrial group based in Zuid-Holland, is looking for a Financial Controller to take responsibility for financial reporting, internal controls, and process improvement across three operating entities.

As Financial Controller, you will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of consolidated financial reporting while driving improvements in the control framework. You will report directly to the CFO and work closely with local finance teams and external auditors.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation and reporting process for three entities
  • Ensure compliance with Dutch GAAP and prepare the transition to IFRS reporting standards
  • Design and implement internal control procedures in line with the company’s risk management framework
  • Coordinate with external auditors and ensure smooth audit processes
  • Analyze working capital, cash flow, and balance sheet positions, providing recommendations to the CFO
  • Drive automation and standardization of reporting processes across entities

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; RC or RA qualification preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in financial controlling, preferably in a multi-entity environment
  • Strong knowledge of Dutch GAAP, with IFRS knowledge as an advantage
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Exact, or Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills in Dutch and English
