Senior DevOps Engineer

Our client, an international media company headquartered in Amsterdam, is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to strengthen the platform engineering team and drive the next phase of their DevOps transformation.

In this role, you will design and operate the CI/CD infrastructure that supports over 30 development teams across multiple business units. You bring a strong engineering mindset and thrive in environments where automation and reliability are paramount.

Key responsibilities:

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, ArgoCD, and Helm for continuous delivery across multiple environments
• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters running on AWS EKS, handling scaling, upgrades, and troubleshooting
• Develop internal developer tooling and golden paths to accelerate onboarding and reduce cognitive load for product teams
• Implement observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, and distributed tracing
• Drive infrastructure-as-code adoption with Terraform and ensure drift detection is in place
• Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to incident post-mortems

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on DevOps or platform engineering experience
• Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration
• Proven experience with GitOps workflows and at least one major CI/CD platform
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus but not required
