Pearson & Partners is conducting a confidential search for a Security Architect on behalf of a government-affiliated organization in Den Haag. The organization operates in the national security domain and requires robust security architectures for systems processing classified and sensitive information.

As Security Architect, you will design end-to-end security architectures for IT systems, networks, and applications that must comply with national and NATO security standards. You will perform threat modeling, define security requirements, and ensure that architectural decisions align with the organization’s risk appetite and accreditation requirements. Collaboration with system engineers, project managers, and accreditation authorities is central to the role.

You will also evaluate emerging technologies for their security implications, contribute to security policies and standards, and advise leadership on architectural trade-offs. Experience with secure-by-design principles in both on-premise and hybrid cloud environments is essential.

Candidates should have at least 8 years of experience in information security, with a minimum of 4 years in a security architecture role. Deep knowledge of frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and BIR/BIO is expected. Familiarity with TEMPEST requirements, network segmentation in classified environments, and PKI infrastructure is a strong advantage. Certifications such as CISSP, SABSA, or TOGAF with a security focus are valued.

A valid Dutch security clearance (VGB-B or higher) is required, or you must be willing and eligible to obtain one. Dutch nationality is a prerequisite for this position.

The organization offers a competitive public-sector salary, excellent secondary benefits including a generous pension scheme, and the opportunity to work on systems that matter for national security.
