QA Lead
Our client, a growing SaaS company based in Utrecht, is looking for a QA Lead to establish and manage quality assurance across four product development teams.
As QA Lead, you will define the overall test strategy, build the QA team, and ensure every release meets production-readiness criteria. This is a role that combines people leadership with hands-on quality engineering, requiring both strategic vision and practical execution.
Key responsibilities:
- Define and implement the QA strategy across functional, regression, performance, and security testing
- Lead and grow a team of QA engineers, providing coaching, career development, and day-to-day guidance
- Establish quality gates, release criteria, and test reporting dashboards for stakeholder visibility
- Collaborate with product owners and engineering leads to integrate quality into sprint planning and definition of done
- Drive the adoption of shift-left testing practices and behavior-driven development across teams
- Manage vendor relationships for specialized testing services such as penetration testing and accessibility audits
Requirements:
- 7+ years in QA or test engineering, with at least 2 years in a lead or management role
- Strong experience with test strategy definition and QA process design
- Hands-on familiarity with test automation tools and CI/CD integration
- ISTQB Advanced or TMap certification is a plus
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
